The lies/BS about why they couldn’t just add a couple more rafts were everything from saying that more rafts would make it unsafe, or that they do have other rafts but they are too thick and get stuck in the lifting device, or that the rafts are too heavy and so can only lift max 2 at a time, or just that they don’t want to buy more because they cost $8,000 each and ‘that’s a lot of money’. Even though the line only started 1/3 of the way from the top, it still took 45 MINUTES to get to slide down once. The two biggest raft slides ‘Big Kahuna’ and Mammoth Falls’ share the same lift that brings the big rafts to the top, but between both rides they were only using 3 (yes, THREE - shared between 2 main rides) rafts. The ‘Adventure River’ (as well as a few other smaller park attractions) was closed when we arrived also, this time because ‘we don’t have enough personnel’. Really? Well, since you’re a water park whose main attraction is a big wave pool, maybe someone should get on this? We drove up from Tucson for the day, and when I told the 12 year old (my guess) girl at Guest Services that neither their website nor their app (both with sections specific to each individual Six Flags property) says anything about any rides or attractions being closed or unavailable at their park she says ‘it’s posted at the parking booth as you come into the park’ (WTF? REALLY? A bit late for anyone who doesn’t live around the corner, don’t you think?) and then ‘we don’t have any control over the website or app for our location that’s all done by HQ.’ Oh, so HQ is going to know on their own that the wave machine (and several other attractions) in Phx isn’t working? Total BS and excuses. And then, it’s taking a long time to fix because they have to fly in mechanics from out of state. From ‘a kid had an ‘accident’ in the wave pool yesterday, so we had to do a pool burn and we’re waiting for the chemical levels to go back to where we can let guests in’ when in fact, more honest workers will tell you the truth that the wave machine has been broken for SEVERAL DAYS. SPEND YOUR MONEY SOMEWHERE THAT YOU WILL GET TO ENJOY THE EXPERIENCE! I was there yesterday () with my 2 kids and I can assure you that almost no one working there gives a crud about anything - but you do get LOTS of EXCUSES and even a few outright LIES about why things aren’t working, available or just the way they should, ie promised/described to be. It is run down, poorly ran and generally no fun. The overall experience for the money spent was just plain not worth it. I am serious here - even the two kids that came in with me were complaining. When we finally made it to the front, it was dark, dirty and smelled worse than a porta-potty. It is a family bathroom so I thought it would be perfect for our little. Another issue was the bathroom by the lazy river. If you still plan on going, pay the extra to bring in an ice chest or you will regret it. There were only a couple places open and they did not provide good service at these. The line for this was longer than the slides! All the little stands they have all over we closed. The really big issue came when it was time for drinks. The older kids only got to go down a couple slides the entire 6 hours we were there. It was probably the most fun area in the park. Someone apparently stepped on glass in the pool early in the day so they closed it down completely (as I would expect.) The kids area was fun for our little. So, do yourself a favor and rent early! The wave pool was not working, so it was more of just a big shallow swimming pool. We tried to go back and rent tubes but they were all sold out. If you have a rental, you can go right up, but otherwise you are waiting in a VERY VERY LONG LINE. They limit the number of tubes at the slides. They told us tubes were provided at the slides so we did not get any. Holes in the shade, cobwebs on the furniture, and the ground was littered with leaves. That was my first clue that things were not great. The bathroom at the front was clean and well stocked (which I would expect since it just opened.) We made our way to the Cabana and Tube Rental booth to get checked in to the cabana we rented. Checking in at the front gate was easy as well. There is a LOT of construction going on so getting in was a nightmare, but that is not their fault. The parking was fine - no real issues that I can blame on the water park. We took our family on Saturday, July 30, 2022.
